Dead Country doesn't want to steal your heart. They'd much prefer to take it out for a quick spin. A joyride of sorts through a sonic landscape that is part jet engine, part electric light parade. Growling vocals and jangling guitars craft a sound that is familiar yet somehow new. Picture Dave Grohl and Ian Curtis fighting over the last Morrissey record at Amoeba... and press record.
Conceived in an east Los Angeles attic, these Santa Barbara transplants deliver alternative rock the way it should be: a little bit dark and a little bit mean. It is a brand of rock that has the paradoxical markings of both punk and good old fashioned guitar pop, without being exactly either. If the radio success of their first single "Euro Thrash" is any indication of things to come, it is only a matter of time before hearts and minds everywhere are hijacked by this four piece.
