In March 2011, Rob founded a book project titled 'On The Road...Where MUSIC Lives'. The project came about when Rob Fenn realized his daughter's idea of a record store was iTunes. To fix this, Rob's daughter, Pamalatera Charmaine Fenn (named after the band Pantera), was given the opportunity to buy one album a week of her choosing. The only rule is it has to be a full album from a store.
This tradition has turned into a great bond between them, and let them both discover new music together.
In April 2011, Rob hit the road across the country photographing artists and music festivals both big and small. Along the way, Rob discovered one of music's hidden treasures at every stop, the local indie record store. Visiting these stores gave Rob the idea to only sell the book in record stores. By doing this, Rob hopes to generate the foot traffic back into the record store and give the music fan that record store experience that is fading in the industry. In late 2013, a SPECIAL 1st EDITION, 376 page hard cover photo book will be for sale in record stores ONLY with part of the proceeds going to charity to fund music programs in public schools. The book will feature live shots of artists along with profiles of all the indie record stores Rob came across throughout the photography tour. The cover is 12" x 12" that looks like a vinyl record jacket. Inside the back of the book is a 12" vinyl record with tracks from some of the artists shot for the book.
With over a decade of media and design tread on the soles of his Converse sneakers, Rob Fenn's photography is becoming as big of a brand as the artists he shoots. Rob's photography career started in 2009 when he borrowed a camera from his friend, Amanda Chamberlain, to shoot Avenged Sevenfold in concert. After experiencing the rush of capturing a live show, Rob was hooked and ready to make concert photography his life's passion. Two years later, Rob was on the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival tour with Avenged Sevenfold capturing their live show.
Rob is proudly represented by In De Goot Entertainment, and has toured with such acts as Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Chevelle, Escape The Fate, Evanescence, Godsmack, Halestorm, Seether, Sevendust, Staind, and Three Days Grace to name a few.
Rob is known internationally and has toured all over the world spanning 15 countries including Russia and Japan with the Grammy nominated band Halestorm.
Rob has surrounded himself with people in the music industry that share his incredible passion for music. This has let him excel with his creativity at many levels. 2013 looks to be an amazing year with projects that music fans and the industry will embrace for years to come.

"JVC Mobile's Turn Me On series of online viral videos was created to promote and expose our amazing, cutting edge, high tech in car products. After meeting Rob Fenn for the first time, I realized I had met a "fan" of the truest form. Rob was an integral part in the Turn Me On 4 campaign, not only for his amazing photographic eye and capturing all the action behind the scenes as the video took shape, but also as someone I could brainstorm with when it came to talent and various other details that helped make Turn Me On 4 Decades an online viral success, both from a branding standpoint and a lifestyle standpoint."
-Chad Vogelsong, General Market Dir. JVC Mobile
"Rob Fenn's photography reflects his passion for music, artistry, and the lifestyle that surrounds it all. You can see that passion in every shot he takes - the composition, the color, the energy. Collaborating with Rob on set for this year's Turn Me On campaign was truly a gift, and incorporating his images into our site and other communications brought a sophistication and punch that lifted the campaign to another level. I've also been on the road with Rob and seen him work with some of the biggest artists in the world - his widespread respect throughout the music industry is well-deserved!"
