Every once in a while a band comes along that leaves an impact on everyone who sees and hears them. Three years ago, four musicians formed Ashes of Soma, and since then they've hit the rock scene with relentless force. Randy Gray, Mike Preney, Joel Bishop, and Paul Doman appeared on the Windsor/Detroit music scene, creating a buzz that wouldn't stop growing. After defining the sound that mixes acoustic and crushing guitar, eclectic drumming, and smooth rhythmic bass, the quartet recorded their first full length album, EXIT 674, at SLR Studios in Windsor, Ontario. Since the release of their album, consistent radio airplay as contributed to selling thousands of their records. Stations like 101.1 WRIF in Detroit, 88.7 CIMX in Windsor/Detroit, and 101.5 WWBN in Flint and other regional stations, recognized their talent and added them to their radio rotation. The band also reached a major accomplishment when their single, "Somebody Else" cracked through the top 50 songs in the Modern Rock Chart all on its own. Throughout their career, they have had the opportunity to join various acts for tours with bands such as Theory of a Deadman, Default, and Candlebox. The boys from Ashes of Soma have also shared stages with acts like Puddle of Mudd, Tesla, Salvia, and David Lee Roth. They took advantage of traveling through both Canada and the United States to help spread their name. With already hundreds of shows under their belt in fewer than three years, Ashes of Soma leaves every crowd wanting more with their exhilarating live performances. All their hard work has paid off after signing a contract with InDeGoot management and that means full speed ahead for Ashes of Soma.
